B.S., Systems and Industrial Engineering, Turkish Military Academy, Ankara, Turkey (1998-2002)
I earned my Ph.D. in Operations Management from the Department of Information Systems, Statistics, and Management Science in Culverhouse College of Business at the University of Alabama in 2018. I currently serve as Associate Professor of Management in the School of Management at the University of Southern Mississippi. I also hold a B.S. degree in Systems and Industrial Engineering from the Turkish Military Academy (Ankara, Turkey) in 2002 and an M.A. degree in Security Studies from Naval Postgraduate School (Monterey, CA) in 2010. My research centers on crafting practical solutions to a range of business problems within the healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, and logistics sectors. I employ a variety of analytical tools, such as machine learning, mathematical programming, stochastic optimization, simulation, and meta-heuristics, to address these problems.
