VENICE (2023)

I started writing this record at 14 years old, and ended up finishing the album when I was 17 (all in my bedroom). It is an Indie pop/rock record with splashes of synth-pop mixed into the tracks.

It is NOT named after Venice, Italy, rather it is named after the small unincorporated town of Venice, Nebraska, that I would drive through on my way to my grandparent's home out on county road P.

This album is full of teenage, pre-mature emotions. Unrequited love, obsession, guilt, and religious trauma instilled by the catholic church. I am so proud of this record, though it is really rough around the edges since I didn't really know what I was doing during the mixing stage of the record. I often find myself returning to it and being shocked at the songs I wrote when I was 15...16...etc.
