About Me

My name is A.J. Roberts (also known as Skeffington Liquorish), and I write historical adventure fiction reminiscent of the old pulp magazines of the early 20th Century (think Indiana Jones).

I've been writing as a hobby since the age of 17, which I discovered via a fondness for table-top role-playing games. After a life-changing visit to the Swanwick Writers' Summer School in 2016, I decided I wanted to take my writing further. In 2018, I took some time out of my job as an accountant to go to university and study for a BA in Creative Writing. I hope to get a career in a more creative field.

Since starting university, I have diversified into other genres and forms, including poetry, blogging, and even scriptwriting.

I enjoy video games, table-top roleplaying games, and social drinking.
