EXPRESSIVE TYPE AND DESIGN

Poppins is a geometric sans serif typeface, made with a line's simplest form, with a very little curvature and a very little thickness variation. It is distinctive, unique and neutral. This font displays simplicity. Ewert font has a fancy, decorative, ornamental look. This highly stylized display typeface is perfect to convey the meaning of the word. Frijole is a heavy weight display type font. It has a unique expressive characteristic. It has a rugged, rough edged style, broken geometric shapes attached to each letter gives shaking, vibrating movement to the character. Its unique uneven, rough, crumpled physical characteristics are perfect to express the mood and attitude of the word Crush. Henny Penny has a unique unsteady, wobbly character style with no common baseline, and no common slope of the letters, and no common character size.

Kerning adjustment, size changes, character direction change methods were used to manipulate words and to make them more expressive.

Unity, scale, movement, dominance principles are used. A simple figure-ground arrangement has been established in both the compositions. Figure is active and the ground is passive. Precarious text shows an illusion of depth.
