Ajar Nath Yadav is working as Deputy Director, Research and Development Cell (RDC) at Eternal University, Baru Sahib, Himachal Pradesh, India. During his distinguished tenure of more than a decade at Eternal University, Dr. Yadav has held several key academic and administrative positions, including Officiating Dean, Dr. Khem Singh Gill Akal College of Agriculture; Head, Department of Genetics, Plant Nreeding and Biotechnology; Deputy Director, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC); and Assistant Controller of Examinations. His sustained commitment to excellence has strengthened the University's academic reputation and research impact at national and international levels.He has 11 years of teaching and 15 years of research experiences in the field of microbial biotechnology, microbial diversity and plant-microbe-interactions. He obtained his doctorate degree in Science (Microbial Biotechnology), jointly from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi and Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi, India; M.Sc. (Biotechnology), from Bundelkhand University and B.Sc. (BCZ) from University of Allahabad, India. Dr. Yadav has 472 publications with h-index 109, i10-index 430, and 35,500 citations. Dr. Yadav is editor of 37 books (Springer, Elsevier, Wiley, Taylor and Francis). Dr. Yadav published 151 research communications. Dr. Yadav has successfully managed and completed two externally funded and three internally funded research projects as Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator. These projects have focused on advancing research in microbiology, biotechnology, agriculture, environmental sustainability. Dr. Yadav has successfully supervised 05 Ph.D. and 06 M.Sc. scholars to completion. He is currently guiding 02 Ph.D. scholars and 01 M.Sc. scholar. In his credit ~8,000 microbes (Archaea, bacteria and fungi) isolated from diverse sources and ~550 potential and efficient microbes deposited at culture collection National Bureau of Agriculturally Important Microorganisms (NBAIM), Mau, India. He has deposited 2386 nucleotide sequences and 03 whole genome sequences (Bacillus thuringiensis AKS47, Arthrobacter agilis L77 and Halolamina pelagica CDK2) and 02 transcriptome to NCBI GenBank databases: in public domain. The niche-specific microbes from extreme environments were reported as specific bio-inoculants (Biofertilizers) for crops growing in normal and diverse abiotic stress conditions. Dr. Yadav and group have developed technology for screening of archaea for phosphorus solubilization for the first time. Dr. Ajar Nath Yadav is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Applied Biology and Biotechnology and serves as Editor/Associate Editor for leading international journals.
