I’m SSgt HinesI was raised in Miami, Florida and I am currently the Air Force recruiter in Normal, Illinois. I have been in the Air Force for over 10 years and have been stationed in Offutt, AFB Nebraska; RAF Lakenheath, UK; Hurlburt Field AFB, FL; and Kunsan AB, South Korea.

After my graduation from John A. Ferguson Sr High School in Kendall, Florida. I quickly realized school was going to be more expensive than I imagined, at the time a 4-year college full price started at $30,000. I needed a way to pay for school, gain skills, and experience to become independent and create real opportunities for myself, however I wasn't even sure what I wanted to be at the time. I reached out to my local Air Force recruiter SSgt Moody and started the enlistment process while working as Hospital Operator.

I entered the field in the General Aptitude index and left for Basic Military Training (BMT) in the summer of 2012. After BMT I gained my job of Dental Assistant Apprentice attended Technical Training in Fort Sam, Texas for 3 months. After completing Tech School, I left for my first duty station, Offutt AFB Nebraska in November. It was my first time seeing snow!

During my time as a Dental Assistant I held various different positions. I spent time as a General dental assistant, Clinical flight chief assistant/trainer, Prophylaxis technician, Infection Control specialist, Records and Reception technician, Periodontal surgery technician and lastly Dental Readiness Officer.
