The airport is located in Plaine Magnien, about 48 kilometres southeast of Port Louis, has an elevation of 186 feet and follows UTC+4 time zone, operating a single asphalt runway 14/32 which is 3370 metres long and 45 metres wide, fully capable of handling every aircraft type in our fleet including Boeing 787 and Boeing 777-200LR with magnetic variation of 18° West. It is a vital regional destination for Air Austral Virtual, with daily scheduled flights connecting our main hub FMEE (RUN) to MRU for cross-Indian Ocean passenger transport.
