About Us

What do we do?

Here at AAV, we specialize in all things Aerial Firefighting. We, during each year of operations, give you the choice to join in on monthly firefighting events, which take place over a real-life fire's location. 

These events are based on real time periods that the fire was active, (e.x. three days of air attack) from the prior year. When you choose to participate in these events, you get to use your newly acquired air attack skills that we teach you in our training program.

What can you expect?

From AAV, you can expect realism, camaraderie, and fun, all in one VO! When you complete your training, you will be placed into one of our Squadrons. At this time, there are only two squadrons to be placed in, but as we grow you can expect many more options. 

One thing that you can look forward to as a special treat is our annual deployment to Australia. During this deployment, you will get to experience a whole new fire traffic area and some beautiful new scenery!

At AAV, you get to fly a DC-10 at 100 feet AGL, just above stall speed, carefully placing yourself above a ridge to get a perfect drop.
