Guests are welcome to enjoy the forest between the ranch and the river, as well as all open areas not occupied by horses (for example, the summer pastures during winter). The path leading to the top of the hill is also free to explore — there are two houses along the way, and as long as their privacy is respected, guests are welcome to roam and enjoy the vast wilderness beyond.
We have sleds and other winter items available to borrow, and the surrounding area offers many winter activities, such as dog sledding and more.
An outdoor campfire experience in the yard or nearby forest can be arranged as an additional service — a wonderful way to enjoy the Arctic atmosphere under the open sky.
Guided Animal and Farm Experience
If you would like to get to know our animals more closely and experience everyday life on our small Arctic hillside farm, we warmly recommend booking a guided tour as an additional service.
During this visit, you will have the chance to meet our friendly horses and learn about their individual personalities, habits, and care. Our guide will share stories about the animals and the history of the ranch — how life here changes with the seasons, from the bright summer nights to the deep, quiet winter.
You’ll also get a glimpse into traditional northern farm life, where nature sets the rhythm of the day and every animal plays an important role. Depending on the time of year, you might see the horses enjoying their pastures, watch us preparing feed, or simply feel the calm atmosphere that surrounds them.
The experience is designed to be relaxing, educational, and respectful toward the animals — with safety and their wellbeing as our top priority. It’s a perfect activity for guests who wish to understand more about Arctic rural life and connect with nature in a genuine, mindful way.
