Payment is upfront for various reasons, don't worry, the money is usually used in a way that will go towards the commission you have given me (eg, equipment, food to give me energy during, energy drinks to help me focus on the commission).
I really like commissions and find it fun to try to create what you want to see visible with my own hands!
