I am excited to attend Spelman! I want to become a pediatric occupational therapist to help children like the smartest boy I know, my brother AJ. AJ loves the alphabet in different languages, the movie Annie, and Oreos. He doesn't like loud noises, long car rides, or when my dad watches TV in the living room. AJ has autism and because of this his life comes with its own set of personal ups and downs at such a young tender age. As a result many people don't get to know my little brother like I do and that saddens me, not just for AJ, but for other children like him too. Every child should have the opportunity to join in on everyday activities without the world perceiving them to be a problem. As one who plans to study how the brain and body work simultaneously, I want to help! I want to change the stigma surrounding disabilities and ensure people realize that there is more to a person than their diagnosis. Pursuing an education within the diaspora of the medical field will undoubtedly help me, help others.

I spent 12 years doing what I love...gymnastics. After four years of homeschooling to focus on training, I returned to high school and currently rank in the top 10 of my class. I have a deep love for learning and look forward to continuing my academic journey at Spelman College in the Fall of 2026.
Beyond the gym and classroom, I founded Gymnasts Who Love God as a way to encourage others while growing in both faith and sport. My journey has not always been easy, but I am committed to overcoming challenges with perseverance, joy, and purpose.
