The workshop will be broken down into several smaller, interactive sessions. Morning activities will introduce the DDCI approach, provide a live demonstration of its usage and concrete examples of research projects where the method was applied. In addition, participants will be engaged in discussions about how they could apply the DDCI method in the context of their own research.
Afternoon activities will engage participants in hands-on training in using the DDCI method. This will include looking at, discussing and analyzing sample interview data collected using the QRF application. Participants will separate into two tracks. Participants in the Qualitative Track will further develop ideas about how they would analyze interview data collected using the QRF application. Participants in the Computational Track will learn technical information about the QRF infrastructure. This will include information about how the QRF application and server communicate with each other. Participants will also learn how to write simple Python scripts that can trigger an interview request on the QRF application.
