Dwarfs Forge was created as the Academy of Interactive Entertainment year 1 production major work. I worked as the lead game designer in a team of 6 and was responsible for much of the design work as well as a large amount of the programing work due to the team programmer being inexperienced.
My Contributions Included:
Setting design goals for the project and communicating them to the team.
Designing the core gameplay loop and mechanics of the game.
Puzzle design and overall level flow.
Level Design, greyboxing and art implementation.
Programming puzzle and level functionality
Working on design documentation and updating it week to week.
Ensuring that the puzzles make sense and engage the player.
Rescoping and redesigning to account for cut content
Bug testing and logging
