I worked on Clumsy Champions as a Major assessable work for the Academy of Interactive Entertainment over the course of 15 weeks. I worked alongside another designer on most aspects of design as well as providing a directorial role within the team because of my strong vision of where to take the game.
My Contributions Included:
Setting design goals for the project and communicating them to the team.
Designing the core gameplay loop and mechanics of the game.
Creating the list of upgrades and their priority.
Working on design documentation and updating it week to week.
Ensuring that the game feels intuitive and fun to play.
Balancing upgrades and mechanics while keeping to our wacky "Fun First" design.
Running playtesting sessions at events and collecting feedback.
Creating a multitude of particle effects and reactive shaders.
Working on technical design implementation with unreal blueprints.
