Portfolio Reflection
Creating this portfolio has made me take a deep dive into what I have done and learned this semester. From the MWAs to the SLOs, and the reflections. I have looked back and gone over everything. This portfolio has helped me realize just how much I have learned in the English 1120 class.
To make this portfolio, I first started with the outline and separate pages of the website. This gave me a clear blueprint of what my final portfolio would look like. After this, I focused on the pages that contained content of my previous projects. Creating the pages for the MWAs and their reflections helped me realize what each one contributed to my learning. After this, I focused on the SLO reflections. Reflecting on the semester as a whole was a very important part of this portfolio. Next, I focused on my biography. Introducing myself, my goals, and what I've learnt is a crucial aspect of a portfolio. People will not understand this portfolio if they don't understand me. The biography helped with this problem. By completing the biography, I essentially made the whole portfolio make sense. Next, I published my website and checked it out. Checking for writing errors and ensuring the website was published correctly was a very important step in my process. After revising my site and making sure it was visually appealing, I wrote this review.
All in all, creating this portfolio has been a journey of reflection. Every single aspect of it required me to look back on the semester and relearn what I already knew. This portfolio has solidified my knowledge and has helped me appreciate English 1120 and Prof. Charles Horace, who taught it.
