ChemE Car

Design, build, and compete with a small car powered and controlled by chemical reactions
Interdisciplinary applications in engineering, chemistry, batteries, circuitry, CAD software, coding, etc
4 Sub-teams:
1. Stopping Mechanism

Responsible for designing and implementing the reaction that safely brings the vehicle to a controlled stop. This includes any sensors or logic needed to trigger the stop immediately.

1. Battery

Focuses on selecting, managing, and integrating the chemical reaction for the vehicle. Their tasks include ensuring sufficient battery capacity, safe power distribution, and efficient energy usage.

1. Circuit-Coding

Develops and programs the electronic control system of the vehicle using Arduino. This includes wiring circuits, writing the code that governs the vehicle's behavior, and interfacing with sensors and actuators.

1. Chassis

Designs and constructs the structural framework of the vehicle using Fusion 360. They ensure that the chassis is stable, lightweight, and compatible with all other components such as wheels, motors, and sensors.

ChemE Sports

Train on and use chemical engineering software used in industry
Members gain experience with process simulators and optimization using PetroSkills

ChemE Jeopardy

Trivia topics include chemical engineering, biology, general physical sciences, general math, etc.
