I am an Associate Professor in the Division of Data Information Science, Major in Big Data Convergence, at Pukyong National University (PKNU).

My research is centered on bioinformatics, machine learning, and deep learning, with a particular emphasis on multi-omics big data analytics, drug repositioning, and recommender systems.

More specifically, I focus on computationally elucidating the intricate relationships between diverse RNA species, including microRNAs and lncRNAs, and human diseases, leveraging advanced machine learning techniques such as deep learning, representation learning, graph neural networks, and contrastive learning.

Before joining Pukyoung National University (PKNU), I was a postdoctoral research fellow in Hawai'i Cancer Center (NCI designated). Before that, I received my Ph.D degree in Computer Science from Yonsei University under the supervision of Prof. Sanghyun Park. It was the greatest honor in my life to be advised by Prof. Sanghyun Park.
