AI VISIONS is an international competition intended for primary and secondary school students, designed with the goal of exploring the creative boundaries between human imagination and artificial intelligence.
In a rapidly changing world, this competition serves as a platform where students learn not only how to use new tools, but also why and in what way to do so responsibly. Through the synergy of art and technology, we are shaping new generations of digital creators who use technology as an extension of their creativity.
This initiative is based on three key pillars:
1. Creativity Without Borders (Visual Artistry)
The competition encourages students to transform their thoughts, ideas, and visions into compelling digital reality using artificial intelligence tools. It is envisioned as a dynamic platform that evolves each year through new themes, exploring the limitless possibilities of visual expression and following the advancements of generative technologies in image creation.
2. Digital Literacy and Future Skills
Through participation in the competition, students develop key 21st-century competencies:
Prompt Engineering: The skill of precise linguistic expression to achieve the desired result.
Visual Communication: Understanding composition, aesthetics, and narrative.
Technical Adaptability: Navigating new software environments.
3. Ethics and Responsibility (Human-in-the-loop)
Perhaps the most important goal of the project is the development of critical thinking. The competition insists on the responsible use of technology. We teach students to:
distinguish real content from AI-generated content
respect copyright and intellectual property
recognize biases in algorithms
use AI tools as assistants in creation, keeping human ethics and emotion at the center of every work.
We want to create an international community of schools that proactively approach technological changes. AI VISIONS is not just a competition for the best GenAI work; it is a forum for dialogue about the future, where technology does not replace human creativity, but inspires and expands it.
The AI VISIONS competition is designed in accordance with the European Artificial Intelligence Act (EU AI Act) and the Ethical guidelines on the use of artificial intelligence and data in teaching and learning for educators (European Commission, 2022).
The initiative promotes:
AI Literacy: Through education on prompting and critical reflection.
Transparency: Mandatory labeling of AI-generated content.
Safety and Supervision: Mandatory supervision by mentors/parents for participants under 13 (human-in-the-loop approach).
Data Protection: Strict adherence to GDPR and prohibition of using personal data or real faces in content generation.
