"AI in Biophysics" symposium is a part of IISc AI initiative to ensure that we take this important area forward -- with a focus on training, research, outreach, and interface with the other experts around the country and abroad. One of the important goals of the symposium is to foster lively discussions among leading experts in the field (both from academia and industry), our departmental and institute members, and other attendees, which will help continue the tradition of academic excellence that MBU and IISc stands for. We hope to foster interdisciplinary and lively discussions that may lead to insightful directions for our research community and to collaborative research programs.
The symposium will feature presentations from experts in (i) AI Algorithms and Method Development, (ii) Adaption and application of AI in Biophysics (Eg: Drug design, Protein Engineering), (iii) AI in big data analyses of high throughput biological data, (iv) AI in Molecular Modeling and Enhanced Sampling, and (v) AI in interaction network and circuits with applications to biological networks.
As part of the event, we shall also have a student/postdoc poster presentation session, which will provide an opportunity for participants to showcase their research findings, methodologies, and novel applications of AI in Biophysics. This interactive session will facilitate networking, collaboration, and knowledge exchange among emerging and established researchers. From the submitted poster abstracts, we will shortlist 40 outstation students/postdocs (due to limited accommodation facilities). Please apply ASAP.
