The Project

Global pandemics, biohazards, global warming, biodiversity loss, natural disasters, financial crashes, the risks that humanity faces are diverse and require an interdisciplinary approach, Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) offers the opportunity for the development of technologies and solutions that can tackle risk in different areas. The project's main mission is to publish and educate on the development of A.I. and machine learning to deal with risk-related problems, whatever the type of risk involved.

Only through collaboration and the exponential innovation that occur in global open-source platforms can we find the adaptive dynamics needed to face global interconnected risks. Open-source platforms and code builds upon a crowdsourced technologically-enhanced matrix of learning and innovation allowing people to pool their talents in the search for solutions to risk problems.

The project is part of the author's main research around risk science and machine learning and it is driven by Human-Centric A.I. and Intelligence Augmentation approaches, in which A.I. technologies are aimed at enhancing human decision making processes. The code for the project and the results are provided in articles published at the current website, with code and data supplied at the Github platform.
