We are a clinical psychology practice located in the Chicago area. Practitioners include – Dr. Harmeen Ahuja and Dr. Leigh Chethik.
Dr. Harmeen Ahuja has been in private practice since 1999. Before working in private practice, Dr. Ahuja worked as a psychologist at Humana and Northern Suburban Family Psychologists. Prior to that, she completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a clinical internship at Michael Reese Hospital.
Dr. Ahuja earned her B.S. degrees in psychology and zoology from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1984 and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University in 1994.
Dr. Leigh Chethik has been in private practice since 1999. Earlier in his career, Dr. Chethik served as a staff psychologist at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (now Shirley Ryan AbilityLab) and at Ravenswood Community Mental Health Center. At Ravenswood, he spent a year as Director of the Adult Outpatient Program. From 1994–1999, he was an adjunct professor in Northwestern University’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, providing supervision for interns and graduate students, and leading seminars and case conferences.
Dr. Chethik has developed a specialty in play therapy for children twelve and under, recently publishing Cartoon Boy and Other Stories: Using Play to Help Kids Grow. He earned his B.A. in psychology from the University of Michigan in 1982 and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University in 1993.
