Team Highlights

The Austin High Ultimate Team made waves at the 2024 State Championship Tournament, making it to the playoffs with a 3 game win streak. Competing for a spot in the finals against the reigning 3 time State champ LASA A team, who we impressively brought to Universe Point. The score was 9-9, with only a minute left on the clock when LASA scored the final point securing the win. Austin High ended the State Tournament with a 4-1 record, placing 3rd. 

February of the 2023 season was our inaugural and highly successful Girls and Non-Binary Ultimate practice at Austin High! We had several new players come out for the first time and received one-on-one training from several pro players from Austin Torch, the Austin WNB semi-pro team,  from Texas Melee, the University of Texas WNB team, as well as Colleen Kepner of TUSC365, and Liz Carbajal of Austin Ultimate. What a wonderful event! A second event was also held on March 7. 

If you know a girl or Non-binary player who might be interested in Ultimate at Austin High, please let them know. Our practices are open to players from any school, not just to Austin High.
