AHS VEX: STEM classes
(The Loop Project)
(The Loop Project)
This is the American High School IRHS submission for the International Robotics Honor Society Service Award Challenge. We are an IRHS chapter located in Fremont, CA in the United States at American High School. Through the pages of the site, we will provide an overview of our concept of service, process and execution, as well as a reflection on our impact.

To us, service is more beneficial to ourselves than those we are servicing, because it enables a journey of self-discovery and learning. Through various projects that also benefit others, we are able to sharpen our skills in critical-thinking, organizing, and building relationships. In our major project this year, we were able to connect to younger peers by teaching various programming skills to them. Throughout our seven-month-long project, we positively impacted the community around us, while also learning from the own valuable experiences that we have gained.
Our IRHS chapter is fairly new, though we have been a VRC organization since 2015. We currently have two all-girls VRC teams: 97101G and 97101W, named Thing One and Thing Two respectively, and we consist of a total of 20 girls for the 2020-2021 season. Below is a brief history of our IRHS chapter.
