Unemployment Rates in the United States

I have been quite curious about unemployment rates in the United States every since COVID-19 became prominent. This has led me to wonder which US state has had the lowest rate of unemployment before COVID-19. For this study, I wanted to find the state with the lowest unemployment before the ongoing pandemic was a factor therefore I will be using data from the years 2000 - 2016.

The tutorial below shows exactly how to gather the data and visualize it to answer our overarching question.

The tutorial will explain how to:

1) Retrieve the data from Kaggle

2) Load this data into Tableau so it can be visualized

3) Apply the appropriate filters to help with our visualization

4) Visualize the data and create graphs that properly show unemployment rates throughout US states

In the end, we will analyze our findings and answer our initial question.
