Drum Major Auditions Application Process

Each Drum Major Candidate will be asked to perform the following tasks:

1. Application - Each candidate should complete the application available on the band website. Please read the following document before you submit the application

Drum Major Requirements

The following items will be completed via video. You will record yourself calling commands, conducting to the click track, and conducting the prepared piece. You may do these in separate videos if you'd like.

2. Drum Major Commands

Attention - “Band-ten-hut”

Parade Rest - “Band pa-rade rest”

Horns Up - “Band horns up”

Horns Down - “Band horns down”

Mark Time - “Mark time Mark”

Forward (backward) March - “Forward (backward) – March”

Halt - “Band - halt”

Dress Center (right/left) - “Dress center (right/left) dress”

Drag Rear (right/left) - "Drag rear (right/left) hut"
