Professional societies:

Dr. Imteaj provided several services in terms of serving as reviewer for related journals and conferences in his field, such as IEEE Transactions, volunteering at IEEE conferences, and presenting his research at academic venues. He also served as a committee member of several conferences and workshops such as AML-IoT FLAME 2021, BIM'21, AML-IoT FLAME 2020, Ubicomp CPD-2020. Recently, Dr. Imteaj conducted a webinar on, "Distributed Machine Learning for Large-Scale Critical infrastructure Resilience: Tale of Energy Systems" as an invited speaker in Commemoration of IEEE PES Day 2021, where he introduced undergraduate students to the power of distributed ML and presented necessary details to motivate the students to conduct research on this domain. He also conducted a session on, “Leveraging Distributed Machine Learning in Resource-constrained IoT Environment”, at National Science Foundation (NSF) supported Research Experience for Teachers (RET) and Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) programs, where he introduced undergraduate students and K-12 high-school teachers with the distributed machine learning technique, its research scopes and challenges, and motivated them to conduct cutting-edge research in this domain.
