Proposed Action Plan

The IEEE, Egypt section is one of the most vibrant sections of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in the world. For over 25 years, Egypt section has facilitated and guided the development and innovation not only in Egypt but also in region 8. IEEE, Egypt section includes many activities in the active chapters such as conferences and technical meetings. However, there is a room for more growth in awards, educations, webinars, videos, distinguish lectures programs and other resources. In addition, I am willing to activate Egypt chapters through using the opportunities and advantages offered to the section members such as network with colleagues, develop activities for professional development, and share expertise through technical exchange. I would like to see Egypt section one of the winner sections within the coming years through developing various activities. I would like to make our section provides opportunities to practice, build, demonstrate, and develop members’ skills, especially for young professionals and students. I am intending to put myself and the elected executive team in demand within both the local section and region 8. I believe that Egyptian chapters can participate in regional activities with higher levels of management and via the international route to the technical committees.

My plans states on continuing to develop technical environment within the local chapters to serve the particular needs of local members through creating local meetings/workshop/conferences within Egypt. Also, the section would act with the chapter chairs and the industry officer to connect the professional activities between the industry and academia within the chapters. Moreover, the chapter chairs will be helped to invite several distinguished lecturers to enable worldwide recognized experts in different fields to visit Egypt in order to give talks which help us to promote IEEE and engineering at large in our country.

Last, I will be happy to nominate myself as a Chair for Egypt Section to serve the section members and develop more activities for all members.
