Nile University - Eng. Tarek Abdel Wareth Award for Innovation Activities

I was honored to be selected with this prestigious award. Eng. Tarek was a Computer Engineering Alumni from Nile University. He was the first student to act as a junior TA and help his younger colleagues. He won several competitions in Robotics. He passed away in an accident. The University decided to keep his name alive with this annual award.

Academic System Resource Planning Project

I have participated also within my work in Nile University as the Dean of Information Technology and Computer Science school in The EU funded Academic System Resource Planning Project during the interval 2019-2020. NU-IBM MoU

The MoU aims to strengthen scientific research between the two parties, as well as to inform the students in the undergraduate and postgraduate stages of the latest developments in the fields of information and communication technology. The training activities and workshops organized under the agreement are expected to start in February 2019, A conference on technology education “IBM D - NA Innovation day at NU” will be held at Nile University with the participation of experts at a high level of excellence.

CPU Committee for Biomedical Informatics

September 2018, A committee headed by Prof. Aly Fahmy, and membership of Prof. Ahmed El Baily, Prof. Hesham Kandil, Cairo University and a professor from Alexandria University visited Nile University to start the biomedical informatics program

Nile University Participate in the AI Conference, 2019

I worked as the Dean of the Information Technology and Computer Science school, Nile University from July 2017 till now. The Informatics and Computer Science sector committee selected me as one of three deans who worked in the committee during 2018/2019. I was honored by the Sector Committee President.

I worked as the Dean of the Communication Engineering and Information Technology school, Nile University from Feb 2017 to July 2017.

I worked as the Vice Director and then the Director of the Electronic and Knowledge Services Center, Supreme Council of Universities from 2014-2018. In addition, I was the acting director of the Egyptian Universities Network (EUN) at most of that time.
