Ahmad Zahedi is an Iranian journalist, writer, documentary filmmaker, and independent researcher whose work explores the intersections of art, society, memory, and historical experience.
He began his journalistic career in the mid-1990s as a student reporter and contributor to Aftabgardān, an Iranian children’s newspaper. Since then, he has continued his professional activities in journalism, cultural writing, and research, collaborating with various newspapers, magazines, and digital publications.
Over more than two decades, Zahedi has published hundreds of articles, essays, film reviews, interviews, literary texts, and cultural commentaries. His journalistic practice has covered cinema, literature, visual arts, social issues, and cultural history.
Alongside his professional journalism, his independent writings and research focus on documenting memories, preserving overlooked narratives, and engaging with questions of freedom of expression, censorship, and the role of art and literature in recording individual and collective experiences.
In recent years, his writings have appeared in publications associated with the Writers' Association of Iran [+] and the Iranian Independent Filmmakers Association [+], as well as various Iranian print and online media platforms.
