I took two EFQM training courses at King Abdullah II Center for Excellence (KACE). These training courses are targeting to raise individuals' levels in the managerial, excellence, and assessment in all related fields. They will qualify trainers to manage and apply criteria and excellence requirements, in their organizations & to offer consultations to other organizations.

We challenged Mechanical Engineering students to take apart a diesel ICE block in one hour. They did it in 50 minutes! Many thanks to Dr. Yousef Altork and everyone else who participated and lend a hand.

A ZUJ team from the Electrical and Mechanical engineering students won 2nd place in the National Sumo Robot Competition for the best programming.

Proud of my students: Bilal, Suhaib and Ahmad winning 2nd place in the best national capstone projects awards held by the Jordanian Engineers Association (JEA). They designed a PLC training board for the control and automation lab.

ASHRAE ZUJ members hosted a workshop under the title of "An Approach to Improved Air Quality: Smart Buildings Tech".
The presenter, Dr. Om Taneja a fellow member of ASHRAE and a professor of Mechanical Engineering at Kean University, provided valuable information on the latest technologies of smart buildings.

A few of our ASHRAE branch members attended a workshop "Improved operations and maintenance measures for Better Energy Performance and Environmental impact of HVAC and Chiller plants" at The Jordanian Engineers Association in Amman.

Dr. Muhammad Masoud and I conducted a training program, with the Center of Consultation and Community Services, in designing interactive contents for PLC's. The program covered 20 hours of traning on Delta PLC's and HMI's.

We started an ASHRAE branch! (ASHRAE - ZUJ) at the mechanical engineering department. I was assigned to serve as a Student Branch Advisor (SBA).

A group of students, at the Mechanical Engineering Department, worked on 5 projects in summer 2018. The project titles were:
Measuring distance via Kinect sensors.
Measuring ambient temperature using ultrasound sensors.
Calculating weight using strain gauges.
Detecting and monitoring BPM using heart pulse sensor.
Calibrating car parking sensors.

I, and colleagues from Jordan and Palestine took a training course in "utilizing mobile devices in e-learning systems and portals" in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Using mobile phones and tablets are essential in the electronic learning experience. Submitting assignments on the go? No big deal!
This training was a part of METHODS, an Erasmus+ project.

A field visit to a glass factory in Amman, Jo. Students learned about the procedures of OS&H. They performed a point-by-point check on the safety measures taken in the factory based on OSHA evaluation forms.
