Since its establishment in 2016, Al Hekma International School Model United Nations (AHISMUN) has grown into one of the region’s most anticipated student-led conferences, providing a platform where young minds come together to explore diplomacy, leadership and international cooperation.
Each year, AHISMUN welcomes students from a diverse range of schools and backgrounds, both locally and internationally. Through their roles as delegates, chairs, press members, security members and organizers, participants are challenged to broaden their perspectives and strengthen their skills in research, negotiation, teamwork and public speaking. Beyond these skills, AHISMUN aims to develop empathy, creativity, confidence and responsible leadership among the leaders of tomorrow.
The theme of this year’s conference, **“Vision to Impact: Paths Yet Unwritten,”** reflects the belief that every meaningful achievement begins with a vision. It encourages participants to look beyond existing solutions, explore new possibilities and recognize their ability to shape paths that have not yet been written. Through thoughtful debate, innovation and collaboration, participants will be inspired to transform their ideas into meaningful action and lasting impact.
AHISMUN IX will be held in person on **October 23 and 24, 2026**, at the AHIS Campus in Sanad. The conference will feature a variety of council formats, including General Assembly committees, specialized agencies and Arabic-speaking councils. Participants will engage in meaningful discussions surrounding global challenges while developing practical and innovative resolutions.
With opportunities to participate in a variety of roles, including delegates, chairs, press, security and organizing positions, AHISMUN IX ensures that every participant has the opportunity to contribute, learn and grow. The Head Team is committed to delivering a conference that is well-organized, intellectually challenging, inclusive and empowering.
At its heart, AHISMUN is more than a conference. It is a journey from vision to impact, shaped by the voices, ideas and actions of young leaders who are ready to create paths yet unwritten.
