What are AHG Level Awards?
AHG members can earn their Level Award in the final year of each program level. You don't NEED the Level Award to move on the next level. Level awards are a special recognition that each girl can earn with some extra effort.

Information can be found on pg 54-55 of Tenderheart/Explorer handbooks and on pg. 62-62 of Pioneer/Patriot.

Requirements to keep in mind
Level Awards all require at least ONE year of Faith Award programming - that means at least one segment of a two/three year religious emblem award. (Patriot level requires 2 years)
Complete at least 6 badges - one from each Frontier
Hold a Girl Leadership position (length of time varies depending on the level being earned)
Earn a service star for each year of membership.
Plan, organize, implement and participate in a Troop or social activity or event. Number of hours and exact requirements vary according to the level being earned
Outdoor camping -- exact requirements vary according to the level being earned
Help spread the good word about AHG to others -- exact requirements vary according to the level being earned

"Faith Awards are one of the main avenues in which to integrate faith into the AHG Program. AHG encourages all girls to participate in the Faith Awards Program. One year of Faith Award programming is required for Tenderhearts, Explorers and Pioneers as they complete Level Awards." (Two years are required for Patriots)
There are two types of Faith Awards: The Catholic Faith Awards and the Build Your Faith Awards (B.Y. Faith Awards). In this way all American Heritage Girls can accomodate their faith. The Catholic Faith Awards help girls see the relationship between the AHG Creed, Oath, and Mission and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. B.Y. Faith Awards can be tailored so girls and adults from differrent denominations can better understand their relationship with Christ. The B.Y. Faith Awards are easily adapted as necessary. Both Faith Award tracks allow the girls to become life-long followers of Christ.
