Hi, I'm Dr Aleksandra Herman,  a cognitive neuroscientist currently working at the University of South Australia (UniSA) as a Visiting Associate Professor.

What I do

I investigate the effects of bodily signals on our behaviour and decision-making, and the mechanisms behind these effects.  I also study what happens when body-brain communication malfunctions, such as in chronic pain conditions.

I use a combination of methods such as behavioural assessments, mood alterations, drug interventions, physiological monitoring, and neuroimaging.
