I graduated from the Sussex Neuroscience PhD Program, where I worked with Professors Theodora Duka and Hugo Critchley to explore the emotional and physiological causes of impulsive behaviour in humans. I then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Royal Holloway, University of London, working with Professor Manos Tsakiris, where my research focused on interoception, decision-making, and the neural pathways underlying our sense of internal bodily sensations.
I am currently an Assistant Professor (DSc Habil.) at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology in the Laboratory of Brain Imaging, where I continue to study the relationship between the body and brain. As a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action (MSCA) Research Fellow, I investigate how persistent pain affects daily decision-making and its consequences for treatment. My research is conducted in collaboration with Professor Tasha Stanton from Adelaide University, Australia.
