The Patch

The Patch - a Beginning Point

Currently there is no graphic of the Alert patch, only a photo of the actual item. For use in upcoming promotions, a proper graphic would be needed.

Anniversary Patch - a special version

As a central starting point for any upcoming promotional media, the special anniversary patch builds off the existing patch and adds an outer band which declares the 150th anniversary and the dates 1876-2026. Playing off of the 5 central stars, this outer band contains 3 groups of 5 stars totaling 15 stars, each representing 10 years of the company's presence in the community. The blue background matches the background of the patch center signifying continued tradition.

This graphic was created in Adobe Photoshop and then converted to vector in Illustrator. Multiple file types and sizes can come from this base image.

Raster vs Vector - why would we need a different format?

While raster graphics will be acceptable for most online and small print media, a vector graphic is preferable so it can be scaled infinitely (think billboard or wall size vinyl).  For more information about the difference between the two formats click the image to the left.

To see the difference when enlarging you really need to open the vector file with an appropriate app. Vectorpea.com is a free web-based vector editor that can be used without requiring any installation or log on.
