The Older Girls Advisory Board (OGAB) is a new initiative created by a Girl Scout, for Girl Scouts!
OGAB is composed of Seniors and Ambassadors in grades 9-12 from the Greater Atlanta area. These girls are interested in creating ways for the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta Council to name and address issues of diversity, access, equity, and inclusion in our community. The girls are mentored throughout their term by an Alumnae Advisor and supported directly by Council staff.
The Board will coordinate and host Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access-focused events throughout the term. The events and projects hosted by The Board will focus on Diversity, Inclusion, Social Justice, and Human Rights. These events and projects will not only be open to registered Girl Scouts but the larger youth population in the Greater Atlanta area.

Leadership opportunities (destination, programming, etc.)
The OGAB staff will meet about twice a month. This does not include special meetings held during the months they host events. Girls can be expected to commit up to 5-6 hours per month to OGAB.
As a part of her Gold Award project, now Alumnae Advisor, Randi Parks, created this group to encourage girl voices and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access (DEIA)-based conversations within the GSGATL Council.
