The Fazenda Água Boa is located close (30km) to the south coast of Bahia (Itacaré and Maraú/Barra Grande) and therefore, there is a natural appeal for the development of tourist activities such as visitation and accommodation.

There are several opportunities for entrepreneurship such as Hospitality, Visitation for leisure, recreation, environmental education and bird watching.

The very well-preserved Atlantic Forest, probably the only one in the south of Bahia, with a greater biodiverse flora than in the Amazon, proposes the possibility for scientific research, being, therefore, an excellent opportunity to establish partnerships with universities from all over the world. Nearby, about 20 km as the crow flies, a study by the "New York Botanical Garden" counted 458 different species of woody plants on one hectare, with the participation of the botanist Dr. Scott Mori, who incidentally also collected plants on Água Boa in 1979.
