Aims and Objectives of the
Aims
The aims of the International Agricultural Exchange Association (IAEA) are to provide exchange opportunities for young adults around the world, through mutual exchange programs, in order to improve international understanding and communication and to raise the level of education and training in areas of agriculture to create cultural awareness.
Objectives
- To provide young adults with experience based upon work-training exchange programs in agriculture, horticulture, forestry and other agriculture areas to practice in countries around the world through placement with hosts on approved training farms.
- To provide young adults with the opportunity to develop an understanding of the ways of life and the cultural patterns of hosting countries.
- To strengthen and improve mutual understanding between the countries involved through the establishment of contacts between exchange visitors and their hosts.
- To increase members knowledge of foreign languages.
- To promote recognition of the technical, academic and cultural values of the program through the award of official documentation, such as certificates and/or college credits.
IAEA will pursue its aims and objectives by establishing contacts with rural youth movements, other agencies and organizations, which have interests in common with IAEA and will operate on a nonprofit basis in accordance with its articles.
