Theatre Posters

There were four* movie theatres in Dover between 1925 and 1929

*Note: The Broadway Theater (no poster available), located at 4 Broadway operated in 1925. Broadway Theatre was previously named Star Theatre and subsequently renamed Clement Theater (which burned on November 4, 1945). The theatre was rebuilt and opened as the Uptown Theatre. Please note that The Broadway Theatre is not documented in the 1925 to 1929 online versions of the Dover, NH Business Directories, which are accessed via the Dover, NH Public Library's Research web page. However, advertisements in the Foster's Daily Democrat from January 1925 through September 1925 indicates that the Broadway Theatre was operating during this period of time.
