The Artificial General Intelligence Laboratory (AGI Lab) is located at the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Taiwan Normal University. The lab was originally established at Tamkang University in 2023 before relocating to NTNU in 2025.
Robot technology has made significant strides, with excellent results across various fields. AGI Lab is dedicated to advancing Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and applying it to the design and development of advanced robotic systems. Our core objective is to create cognitive robots capable of human-like perception, learning, understanding, and decision-making.
To achieve this, our research operates in a dual-track parallel mode, with a simultaneous focus on AI chip design. Our work covers chip architectures optimized for demanding AI tasks and employs a strategy of software-hardware co-optimization. This integrated approach not only fundamentally enhances a robot system's intelligence and capabilities but also ensures we deliver high-performance, low-power AI solutions, thereby enabling comprehensive innovation from the foundational hardware to high-level applications.
