Abstract

We define a value aware AI as an AI system that captures and understands a (human’s) value system, abides by that value system, and explains its own behaviour and that of others in terms of that value system. In this talk, we focus on real-life application domains illustrating the use and impact of value aware AI to help analyse the alignment of actions and norms, and to raise awareness on the human level.
