All AGAC athletes are placed into a training group based on their skill-level, age and commitment. Our training groups are split into two categories: Youth (introductory level for young athletes who are new to the sport) and High Performance (experienced athletes who show a high level of commitment to swimming). A detailed description of each training group can be found below.
Our training groups are designed to provide each athlete with a practice & competition environment that challenges them and prepares them to progress to higher levels in the sport. We encourage athletes to communicate their desire to progress to a higher level group with the coach, but ultimately any decision regarding their training group will be made by the coach.
