In order to help newcomers to better involve in the community, our free English classes focus on the much needed speaking and listening skills in conversational English.
John Z is native to Saskatchewan and has rich experience in teaching English. John had been an LINC instructor in Saskatchewan Polytechnic. He had also been a passionate English instructor in Beijing organizing English corners for local Chinese for five years. Lesson settings in John’s classes are interactive, lively, hands-on, prepares students to use English successfully in their daily lives.
Parry J has more than 30 years of teaching experience in the Regina public school system. Parry is approachable, compassionate, empathetic, witty, and shows great care to his students. His hobbies are playing the guitar and photography, and he is also fluent in French.
Fan Z is from China's Sichuan province, and had been a high-school teacher before she came to Canada in the late 2000s. She is much loved by her students with her beautiful English accent and loving patience.
Literacy or Pre-Beginner English Class, targeting those who don't have any experience of English learning, approximately at CLB 1.
Beginner English Class, targeting those who are at the beginning stage of English learning, approximately at CLB 2-3.
High Beginner English Class, targeting those who have basic English skill but still struggle to express themselves, approximately at CLB 4.
Low Intermediate English Class, targeting those who can communicate basic information using simple sentences about immediate needs and personal experiences, approximately at CLB 5.
Intermediate English Class, targeting those who can begin to maintain conversation in small groups, with clear evidence of connected discourse and adequate fluency when in familiar contexts, approximately at CLB 6.
High Intermediate English Class, targeting those who would like to further improve their fluency in English oral skills, approximately at CLB 6+.
