The flooding in Nepal has been horrific and deeply disturbing; killing hundreds of people, leaving thousands displaced or missing, homes damaged, and many without access to basic necessities. First-hand reports describe the devastating force of the water as buildings, roads, livelihoods, and communities have been swept away or severely damaged. Many bridges now no longer exist, severing the only routes of access and leaving villages isolated. Those who were fortunate to survive, were forced to watch their homes and belongings disappear, facing uncertainty about their safety, and now confronting the difficult days of recovery ahead. The needs are urgent, and the road to recovery will be long. 

We believe this is a time to respond—beyond words and prayers—with practical compassion. RLF is preparing relief packages for an initial 100 families affected by the floods. Our ministry partner Mr. Chettri, a local Nepali who knows the conditions firsthand and these communities personally, will be transporting the relief supplies himself and delivering them to families in the Nuwakot and Gorkha districts. By going directly to these affected communities, we hope to bring more than supplies: we want each family to know that others are standing with them, and that there is hope even in the midst of devastation.

Rentachintala, Ponnur, and Bapatla, in present-day Andhra Pradesh, are located within a historically and culturally significant part of the Telugu-speaking heartland. The three communities are situated across the broader Palnadu, Guntur, and Bapatla regions, areas shaped by centuries of cultural, religious, and social change. Predominantly rural and agricultural, these areas are closely connected to the wider social and cultural life of Andhra Pradesh. Their place within the Telugu-speaking heartland has also provided an important setting for the growth of Christian ministry alongside longstanding local traditions.

Christianity has a significant history throughout the wider Andhra region, with Protestant missions establishing churches, schools, hospitals, and other ministries across Telugu-speaking communities. Over the years, Christian churches and ministries have become an important part of the religious landscape in communities such as Rentachintala, Ponnur, and Bapatla, with pastors and church leaders continuing to serve local congregations and share the Gospel.

The ministry in Rentachintala, Ponnur, and Bapatla will bring pastors and church leaders together for Scripture-based teaching centred on biblical prophecy and the end times, alongside teaching on deeper Christian living, spiritual readiness, and strengthening the Church. Through ministry resources, fellowship, mutual encouragement, and equipping leaders to serve more effectively, the gatherings seek to deepen biblical understanding, renew commitment to Christ, and strengthen pastors and churches for faithful ministry and witness in their communities.

Kalimpong, set in the eastern Himalayas of West Bengal, is a scenic hill town known for its mountain landscapes, cultural diversity, and historic connections with Sikkim, Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan, and British India. Its location along historic trade routes helped shape it into a meeting place of different peoples, languages, cultures, and traditions. Over time, Kalimpong also developed as an important centre for education, community life, and Christian ministry in the Himalayan region. Protestant missionary work established a longstanding presence in the area, with churches, schools, and other Christian institutions contributing to both the spiritual and social development of local communities.

Against this rich cultural and Christian heritage, RLF has been invited as the guest speaker to teach and preach at a church’s annual convention in Kalimpong, bringing Scripture-based teaching on biblical prophecy and the end times together with a broader emphasis on deeper Christian living, spiritual readiness, and strengthening the Church. Through relevant biblical teaching, ministry resources, fellowship, and mutual encouragement, the seminar seeks to help believers understand God’s Word more deeply, live out their faith with greater conviction, and become better equipped to encourage and strengthen others. In this way, RLF aims not merely to impart knowledge, but to renew faith, foster spiritual maturity, and empower the local church for faithful witness and ministry.

Bhattiprolu is a small town in the Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh, India, rich in agricultural history and local culture. Though it is a peaceful, close-knit community, Bhattiprolu remains spiritually underserved, with many people still unaware of the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. The town and surrounding villages represent an area where the Gospel is beginning to take root, but there is still much work to be done to share the hope of salvation.

The upcoming gathering is intended to extend a warm and inclusive welcome to underserved and marginalised communities in the region. It seeks to create a safe and inviting space where barriers are broken and individuals feel seen, valued, and embraced. This occasion presents an opportunity to express genuine compassion and care, and more importantly, to share of the source from which this love originates. It also serves to communicate the purpose of the initiative—to extend warmth and acceptance to the invitees, affirming their worth and assuring them that they are neither forgotten nor alone.
