We believe:
1. In the Holy, Almighty God, eternally existing in three persons the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
2. In the verbal and plenary inspiration of the Old and New Testaments, that they are infallible, inerrable in the original writings, and the final authority for faith and life.
3. That man has sinned and thus is separated from God.
4. That the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, without ceasing to be God became man, by the Holy Spirit and Virgin birth, that He lived a sinless life on earth; that He died at Calvary as a satisfactory substitutionary sacrifice for sinners; and rose from the tomb, ascended to heaven, and is our High Priest and Advocate there.
5. That the Holy Spirit is a divine person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment, that He is a supernatural agent in regeneration by whom all believers are baptised into the body of Christ, that He indwells and seals them until the day of redemption.
6. That salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received only through personal repentance for sin and faith in person through the finished work and atoning Blood of Jesus Christ.
7. That the Church universal is a spiritual organism composed of the regenerated who are baptised into that body by the Holy Spirit at the time of the new birth, and that the local Church, the visible manifestation of this body, has the responsibility to provide for the fellowship and edification of believers and to propagate the Gospel in all the world.
8. In the personal and imminent return of Jesus Christ in the clouds for the Church.
9. In the Pre-Millennial and Pre-Tribulation Rapture.
10. In the bodily resurrection of all men; the just to eternal life and unjust to everlasting punishment.
At age 24, Mr. Ishmael was steadily progressing through the ranks of his career in the Indian Administrative Services and, during the Second World War, joined the Indian Army as an officer. Despite his professional success, he began to feel a deep sense of dissatisfaction with his worldly achievements and it was during this time that he heard the call of God to enter full-time ministry—a call that was answered on 15th August 1947. Leaving behind his secular life, he burned his certificates and documents in a symbolic act of faith and committed the rest of his life to Vocational ministry.
Pursuing Biblical studies, he earned a theological graduate degree and, over the course of divine purpose, became a highly sought-after preacher, receiving invitations to speak at crusades, revival meetings, conventions, churches, and more. His sermons blessed many and prompted numerous requests for printed copies of his work. He began publishing his resources in the mid-1960s, marking the beginning of a literature ministry that would eventually lead him to establish Revival Literature Fellowship. Both he and his teachings inspired others to live with godly wisdom, grow in the knowledge of Scripture, and look to Christ with confidence. Throughout his life, Rev. Ishmael lived in anticipation of the Lord’s return, often recalling the words: “Behold, I am coming quickly.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
