Our Erasmus+ project aims to promote responsible gambling education for students and enhance their understanding of the potential risks and consequences associated with gambling. By developing adaptable educational materials, fostering collaboration between partner organizations, expanding outreach, and sharing resources, we seek to empower students to make informed decisions and adopt responsible gambling behaviors.
Educational materials development: Create engaging and age-appropriate educational materials that incorporate probability concepts to explain the risks associated with gambling and betting.
Preventing addiction: Empower students to understand the mathematical aspects of gambling and betting to reduce their risks and prevent addiction.
Identification of risky behaviors: Identify risky behaviors related to gambling within the student population and provide them with tools and resources to manage these risks.
Awareness enhancement: Increase awareness of gambling addiction issues among young people and promote open dialogue about it.
Educational toolkit: Develop a comprehensive educational toolkit that includes videos translated into the native languages of each participating country (Croatian, Finnish, and French) and English language.
Workshops and seminars: Organize workshops and seminars within each school to facilitate discussions on probability, risk assessment, and the consequences of gambling, fostering informed decision-making among students.
Pre- and post-project surveys: Conduct surveys before starting project activities and after the project activities to measure changes in students' awareness and understanding of gambling risks.
Customizing the project to suit the preferences and requirements of students aged 14 to 18 will make it more engaging and pertinent to this specific age group. The involvement of Croatia, Finland, and French schools will facilitate cross-cultural learning and collaboration, allowing students to gain a broader perspective on gambling risks and prevention.
