Airport transport options:

 Taxis: The is perhaps the easiest way to get from the airport to the city (which includes St Paul). It takes about 20 mins in off-peak hours.

 Train: Alternatively one can take the train from the airport. For more information please see Sydney Transport Options. Please note that : "To use this service, you can either purchase an Opal Card from the station, Relay or WH Smith, or tap on with your Amex,  Visa or Mastercard." 

Public transport and Opal Card:

Sydney buses are the main mode of public transport. You will need an Opal Card or a contactless credit or debit card. You can buy Opal cards at Newslink or WH Smith bookshops at  the airport. You can also buy them at the airport's train stations. Other places where you can purchase  Opal cards or recharge them are: newsagents, local corner stores, patrol stations, 7- Eleven and train stations. You can also recharge these  cards online (or by using the Opal app).

Opal cards can also be used for all other public transportation in Sydney including ferries.
