There's a form you need to fill out, with just a few details and, of course, choosing a lab to work in.

We have several floors with labs, each with 12 individual labs, restrooms, and several rooms with machines and materials that are shared by the entire floor (large, expensive machines that we can't provide for each researcher).

Check which labs are available before requesting one. There may be events where you have to work together with your floormates to beat other floors in contests and quests. If you can get together with friends, it's even better! and it will also be easier to share the common areas.
