Mary Lee Widener is a businesswoman and activist. She was the first African American First Lady to Berkeley Mayor Warren Widener (1971-1979), campaign manager for Mayor Widener (1971, 1975), and Berkeley Vice Mayor Carole Davis Kennerly (1980). Among numerous other distinctions, Mrs. Widener was the Co-Founder of Neighborhood Housing Services of America (NHSA), and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Neighborhood Housing Services of America.
