CONGRATULATIONS TO
BRAD LEMONS from Springdale High
winner of the
Gianella Armstrong Edelen Arkansas Teacher of the Year (TOY) *
and to
Amanda Horton from the University of Central Arkansas
winner of the
Friend of Foreign Language Award
*The Arkansas Teacher of the Year Award has been named to honor the memory of Gianella Armstrong Edelen, a former TOY winner, whose picture appears with Kristen Novotny on the home page.
Grants: Two grants up to $500 are awarded each year to support member professional development. To read more about grants and to apply, visit the Grants page. Applications and supporting materials are due no later than January 20, 2026.
Award nominations for the 2026-27 academic year will be available March 15, 2026.
